Protect Yourself and Your Community
Vaccination is one of the best ways to prevent serious illness from COVID-19 and the flu.
At Prime Care Family Health Team, we’re sharing key information from Halton Region Public Health to help you stay informed and protected this season.
COVID-19 Vaccine
Ontario now offers an annual COVID-19 vaccine, available each fall.
Everyone 6 months and older who lives, works, or studies in Ontario is eligible to receive it.
The vaccine is safe and effective at preventing severe illness and hospitalization. Even if you’ve had COVID-19 before, getting vaccinated helps boost your immunity.
You can receive your COVID-19 vaccine at:
- Participating pharmacies
- Public health clinics
- Some primary care providers
- A homebound vaccination service (for eligible individuals)
For full details about eligibility, locations, and how to report vaccines received outside Ontario, visit the Halton Region Public Health website.
Flu Vaccine
The annual flu vaccine helps protect against common influenza strains and reduces the risk of complications — especially for older adults, young children, and people with chronic conditions.
Flu shots are available each fall through:
- Pharmacies
- Public health clinics
- Family doctors

Getting Both Vaccines
You can safely receive your flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time for added convenience and protection.
